WELCOME TO CHALLENGER by Crusader
CUSTOM. VALUE. PERFORMANCE.
CUSTOM. VALUE. PERFORMANCE.
Owners of new Challenger Series inboards automatically become members of the Challengers Club when they register their engines, an exclusive program that provides a level of customer service not found elsewhere in the industry.
Club members have exclusive toll-free access to the “Club Concierge,” a special customer service representative who can make sure parts and service needs are met through the nearest qualified Crusader dealer.
Pleasurecraft Engine Group’s exclusive, patented CATANIUM® Clean Emission System (CES) is advanced catalyst technology. CATANIUM® CES, greatly reduces harmful emissions and dangerous carbon monoxide, creating a cleaner, safer marine environment. Utilizing the latest engine management technology, CATANIUM® CES equipped engines are clean and more powerful than ever.
Premium Mounting System.
Crusader’s No-Vibe mounting system offers the highest degree of adjust-ability in the industry. Larger, more robust and extremely heavy-duty, Crusader’s mounts ensure continuing perfect shaft alignment for years.
Sooner or later, however, the engine will have to be realigned as part of routine maintenance. The adjustable components of Crusader’s mounts are easy to realign because they are made of non-corrosive state-of-the-art composite materials, rather than plated steel which is subject to rust and galvanic corrosion.
The mounting system must be able to dampen and absorb vibration to keep it from being transferred to the hull through the stringer system. Crusader uses large rubber isolators to better isolate the vibration.
Crusader’s superior mounting system extends to the overall design, which positions the mounts close-in to the transmission at the mid-point, evenly distributing the weight for a stronger, more rigid hold. This position prevents movement, which would destroy the perfect alignment and vibration-free ride.
Power Plus® Transmissions.
For the skiboat application, the Pleasurecraft Engine Group Power Plus is a revolutionary innovation that sets the standard for inboard transmission design. The Power Plus features:
The Power Plus Vee for Wakeboarding
Today’s sport-specific wakeboard boats are too far advanced to rely on V-Drives that were invented decades ago for the cruiser and offshore markets. Those designs are too big, too loud and just plain too old. Pleasurecraft Engine Group is the first manufacturer to design a V-Drive propulsion system specifically for unique demands of the wakeboard boat.
The PP-V’s compact design allows for more below deck space (ie ballast), along with increased room in the interior.
It’s unique positive mounting angle allows the engine to sit close to level during wakeboard runs, eliminating oil starvation, improving efficiency and adding durability.
The through-shaft design makes service and realignment simple.
The AGMA Grade 11 gears found in helicopter gear boxes and in your Challenger Power Plus Vee are the most durable available.
Paired with the Pleasurecraft Engine Group Power Plus, shifting is smooth and super-quiet — in forward and reverse.
Precise Fuel Delivery.
Electronic fuel injection (EFI) provides improved drive-ability, efficiency and performance. Today’s high performance EFI engines require the utmost in fuel delivery systems. Constant fuel flow to the injectors must be guaranteed, regardless of how choppy the water can get or how tight the turn. Therefore, the marine engineer is challenged to find a way to ensure fuel flow without the need for a specially designed fuel tank or other apparatus.
Crusader answers this challenge with exclusive, patented fuel delivery systems: the Crusader Fuel Control Cell. The FCC ensures proper fuel filtration and fuel delivery to the injectors, regardless of the conditions.
Buyer Protection.
When it comes to buyer protection, no other plan in the industry can compare to Challenger by Crusader. All Challenger engines feature a three-year factory-backed warranty. This plan is unsurpassed, and it is a tribute to the confidence we have in our products.
Factory-trained technicians are educated through the most sophisticated training program in the industry – the Crusader E-Train. Courses on diagnostics, troubleshooting, maintenance and repair are available to Crusader Certified Dealers on-line 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. After successfully completing the E-Train, technicians are thoroughly trained to service Crusader products.
